GDPR: The new data protection regime - are you ready?
18 January 2018
10:30-12:30, Boat of Garten Community Hall
Data Protection affects all businesses – irrespective of size or sector. It covers everything we do with the vast amount of individual’s personal detail our businesses hold including those of employees, customers and suppliers. The law on Data Protection is undergoing an overhaul with the new European wide data protection regime (“the GDPR”) coming into force in May 2018. This makes radical changes to the obligations we have to comply with and significantly increases the penalties if we are found in breach.
Accordingly to protect our businesses we all need to prepare for the GDPR and it’s vital that we start now.
In this workshop Kirk Tudhope, Ledingham Chalmers solicitors, explains how Data Protection works , what will change with the GDPR and provides a practical steer on the steps we should be taking to comply.
FREE to attend for CBP members thanks to support from CBP members Ledingham Chalmers

Accessible Tourism presents a largely untapped and growing market for Scotland’s tourism industry contributing £1.3 billion to Scotland’s economy in 2015. Recent analysis of the European accessible market size predicts the value of the market to reach 88.6 billion Euros by 2025, a 65% growth rate. The aim of the VisitScotland Accessible Tourism Programme is to work in partnership with the tourism industry to make Scotland one of the most accessible tourism destinations in Europe and help tourism businesses to tap into this market.
