The Cairngorms National Park has a well-earned reputation for hosting a range of cultural, outdoor and family events. The area has long been attractive to organisers of outdoor events such as walking festivals, sporting events and Highland Games, which make the very best of the unique environment and culture of the area. There are also a number of small live music and cultural events occurring throughout the event year. Events range from small local events up to large, high profile events such as Braemar Highland Games, which attracts large numbers and is well known for its Royal connections.
The aim of the Cairngorms Business Partnership is to develop the Cairngorms National Park as an area with an all year round, world-class calendar of events and festivals. We recognise that this must be balanced against the unique environment and cultural heritage of the area, and encourage event organisers operating within Park to consider this within their event plans.
