Situated in the centre of Braemar Village, 100 metres from local shops and bus stop, turn left at the red telephone boxes then first right and Rucksacks is facing you.

Groups or individuals are equally welcome throughout the year. Sleeping 26 in three buildings, each with their own toilet, showers and central heating.

The cottage sleeps 10 – 1 twin and 8 in dorm. The cabin sleeps 6 – 1 twin and 4 in dorm. The Alpine hut sleeps 10 on 2 Alpine style platforms on foam mattresses.

All linen and duvets are provided for cottage and cabin, however, bring your own sleeping bag for the Alpine hut.

There are 30 munros in the surrounding area and access to the more remote hills by mountain bike is excellent due to the large network of tracks within reach of Braemar. Cycle hire is available locally.
Deeside ahs a variety of landscapes with remnants of ancient Caledonian forest providing pleasant walks and canoeists are also well catered for with the Dee and Clunie on the doorstep.
